Premiere! Crooked Coast – Glass House – Lyric Video New Single Off Up Coming Album

Cape Cod based band Crooked Coast will be releasing a lyric video for their new single “Glass House” on January 19th. It’s their fifth release from their upcoming album mixed by LA based producer Courtney Ballard.

“As a band we really take pride in our lyrics,” Luke Vose (vocals/guitar) says, “we want to paint a picture that listeners can be immersed in. The lyrics in Glass House are pretty heavy but I think they’re also fun and cathartic. We had a great response with a lyric video for our 2020 single Rise & Shine and this felt like a great candidate for that as well.”

As in many of their songs “Glass House” finds Vose and John McNamara (vocals/guitar) trading vocals back and forth bouncing from Luke’s more laid back hip hop inspired delivery to John anthemic rock singing.

“The song touches on greed and how that’s kind of an isolating and dehumanizing thing,” Vose explained, “but we want listeners to take their own trip and pull whatever meaning comes to them…or no meaning at all and just enjoy the badass breakdown! Visually we went with a 90’s sci fi vibe that just felt right”

Producer Courtney Ballard (Good Charlotte, 5 Seconds of Summer) mixed the song.

“Last time we worked with Courtney Ballard was on our song Rise & Shine which debuted at #5 on the iTunes reggae chart. His mixing compliments our music so well that we asked him to mix this whole new album,” Vose explained of their upcoming album slated for a winter release, “there are a lot of different moods on the album but being that we are heading into fall we felt like it was the right time to release a song about the devil.”

The band will be celebrating the release with a spring tour.

-More about Crooked Coast-

Unabashedly producing infectious song after song, Crooked Coast distilled celebratory summers and bleak winters into a joyful explosion of indie rock riffs, reggae rhythms, hip hop flows, shimmering electronic arrangements and pop melodies.

Hailing from Cape Cod, MA they cut their teeth and gained a die hard fan base with authentic and intimate songs and performances.

Selling out local shows consistently as well as touring the states and beyond led them to producing and headlining their own festival, 2019’s Coast-Fest where they sold out a 1,500 capacity bandshell.

Their merchandise line expanded beyond their live shows and in 2017 they opened a brick & mortar Crooked Coast retail location/headquarters to showcase their popular clothing line and host events.

After self producing a string of albums and singles they were heading to Hollywood, CA to record an EP with acclaimed producer/engineer Courtney Ballard (5 Seconds of Summer, Good Charlotte, The Used.) Then the pandemic hit. Set against turmoil and uncertainty they holed up in their local studio and created the single Rise & Shine. When Courtney heard it he wanted to mix it. The result is the next level of Crooked Coast’s sound. Rise & Shine debuted at #5 on the iTunes reggae chart.

Over the course of  summer 2020 they released a string of singles and music videos as well as a handful of unique live performances including a mobile flatbed trailer, a floating stage on a harbor and drive-in theatres.

2021 the band has been releasing a string of singles off their upcoming album. Keep an eye out for live shows as they announce tour dates.
