One of the biggest risers in the Reggae-Rock scene, The Irie, is premiering their newest song “Morning” off of their upcoming EP right here with Reggae 360. The homies from Arizona rented a house in Scottsdale to record the raw, acoustic video for “Morning”. The video was recorded by Ray² Productions and the song will be featured on The Irie’s new EP coming out this winter.
“The song is about hanging with someone you like or love and you have nothing to do but jam music and time goes by like there isn’t a care in the world”, says drummer Johnny Groove. The message in this catchy song should resonate with most people and you’ll surely be singing the lyrics long after you hear it.

Lead singer George Ruiz says, “I wrote this song after partying with “someone” and she was pretty chill and all we did was party by ourselves and I thought to myself, this would be a good song idea, so the next day I cooked up a hook and a couple of lines for a verse. The following week I had it finished up. I showed it to the guys and now it’s on our new EP and video. I always come up with a hook first, it’s easier to come up with ideas for the verse because you can feed off of the hook.”
Founding member and Lead Singer George Ruiz, Drummer Johnny Groove, & Bassist Marcus Mapes released their first EP together with producer Matt Kellar titled “Coming Down” in 2020. The Irie hail from Phoenix, AZ with a fresh reggae-rock sound influenced by bands like Sublime, Jimi Hendrix, Bob Marley, RX Bandits, & The Red Hot Chili Peppers. Yab Yum Music Blog writes “I suggest letting the soothing sounds of The Irie convince you to mellow out and make the right decision for your soul.”
