We’ve all been there… You know, ignoring better judgment and pouring up another shot to further accelerate arrival to that numb feeling of “being turned up”. Sometimes, for the sake of making memories, you have to ignore repercussions, better judgment, and your body sending signals that you need to slow down. In other words, you just have to “send it”. On August 7th, Arizona based band “The Irie” will be releasing the perfect soundtrack to play while we all collectively make memories and bad decisions simultaneously.
“Turn Me Up” Featuring Jackson Wetherbee of The Elovaters is a slow riding, reggae rock heavy jam that will put you in the right frame of mind to unwind and get after it once more. The beauty of this song is the rolling melody layered with the brilliant vocals of both Jackson and lead singer George Ruiz. It only makes sense that The Irie and The Elovaters collaborating on one song would create such a dope vibe. Don’t be fooled by the light fun groove, the lyrics actually are quite raw, real, and might hit a little too close to home; crack a cold one and turn the volume up.
